Ace mid-air ranged combats as you take on the futuristic tourneys of this brilliant third-person shooter game by Free Range Games in Facebook (via unity plug-in), FreeFall Tournament. Set loose over large open maps, equipped with jetpacks and a choice from a huge variety of weapons to bring to battle, the game is set to bring non-stop heart pumping action to its avid patrons.
Upon Starting the game, you will be tasked to choose among eight different classes, each equipped with its own unique abilities, weapons, play style, and a particular role in the battlefield. The choices range from Gunner, Tank, Tech, Scout, Blazer, Blaster, Shocker, and Assassin. As you get to the main battle, take part in melee to mid-air range combats and dominate the open battle ground, set to bring out the best of peer-based 3D shooter gaming. The game secures both cooperative and competitive gaming in an action-packed environment.
Immediately after choosing from the selection, you are taken to the battlefield without much introductions or concise instructions for newbies taking a bite into the game (except for the basic control tutorials). Initially, team death match is the only game mode available to its new participants and then later on unlocks several more modes as the player racks up to the ranks.
In between the rounds, players may opt to visit the in-game shop to purchase some additional characters to unlock with the “slug” currency rewarded to participating combatants clearing the matches (which may take a while and a whole lot of matches to take part in). Otherwise, you may opt to purchase in-game credits with real money via micro-transactions to gain instant access to the different character classes. Initially, the game features a rotation among the different classes to pick from and will be stuck with that particular class for 24 hours, followed by the next random pick.
Players are also limited with a few maps to play in this game. Although well designed and particularly well-detailed, repetitive matches over the same maps would seem to take a toll on players for a half-a-day of continuous gaming. Given though that these large open maps can literally be fully explored and enjoyed (as you are equipped with jetpacks), a lot of unique experience and excitement awaits you in this free to play Facebook game.
