Dragon Age Inquisition Version Differences

Dragon Age: Inquisition is going to release for both last-gen and current-gen consoles and Lee stated that only difference between the two versions will be of visuals. Dragon Age: Inquisition was just released as a GOTY Edition 2 weeks ago which includes all DLC (including the major ones). The same package would cost me 65 Euro (14,99 each for the 3 major DLC's, 5 for the smaller ones plus another 10 to upgrade to the deluxe edition) bringing my total spend for the game to a whopping 115 Euro.

The Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition was announced earlier this week, and it's an impressive package. It will include 'all the story and gameplay content' released for BioWare's hit RPG, including the Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent, and Trespasser expansions, and the smaller stuff too, like bonus gear and weapons. There is one catch, however: The game will be available on disc, but the extra content will not.

On one hand, that's likely to add up to an awful lot of codes. The GOTY Edition comes with the three full expansions, plus everything that was bundled with the Deluxe Edition, and the Spoils of the Avvar and Spoils of the Qunari packs. They're all normally had through downloads anyway, but one of the advantages of GOTY releases is, usually, convenience: People with slow connections, tight data caps, or who just don't want to put up with the hassle can get the latest and greatest version of a game, with all the trimmings, on a disc. In this case it's a relatively cheap and simple way to pick up the complete DA:I package, but the aggravation of dealing with download codes, minor though it may be, remains.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition comes out on October 6.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

Given what I've heard so far about the third game in BioWare's fantasy epic, I'm of the opinion that you should play Dragon Age: Inquisition. In case you need a platform qualifier to that statement, IGN has made a lovely graphics comparison video.

Judging from the video alone, the differences between PC and the two console versions come down to, as they often do, particles and lighting. The most dramatic difference can be seen at about 3:50 in the video, when the difference between the PC version and Xbox One is almost literally night and day.

Either way you slice it, this is going to be one beautiful game. It's just some versions are a little more shady than others.
